Developed by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in collaboration with Istanbul Enerji, the Yakuplu Social Facility is a 360 sqm urban space designed to serve the local community as a modern and accessible gathering point. It exemplifies how small-scale interventions can have meaningful impacts on neighborhood-level public life.

EC Lighting Design Studio was responsible for the lighting design of both interior and exterior areas. The lighting strategy prioritized user comfort, safety, and environmental sensitivity. Energy-efficient luminaires were carefully integrated to enhance the architectural character of the space while supporting wayfinding and nighttime visibility.

Yakuplu Social Facility stands out as a compact yet impactful example of how thoughtful lighting design can elevate public spaces and support inclusive urban living.
